When Snowy left Friars he started work as an apprentice in Braids Colwyn Bay. He then did his National service in the REME section of the army. He was discharged from the army with Ulcers, although he actually spent more time in the army than the normal national service because the paperwork for his discharge took so long. He spent most of his working life in the Motor trade with just a couple of diversions into Pneumatics and CTF.
